Nashville, Tennessee
Every few years, CMA Fest and the Great Tennessee Air Show overlap, bringing music fans and aviation fans to Middle Tennessee at the same time. Over the past five years, that timing has helped build a great partnership with CMA and opened the door to some truly special moments like flyovers kicking off the four-day music festival at Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville.
This year’s flyover marked the third time Air Show Network has worked with CMA Fest to coordinate a flyover, after 2019 with the F-16 Viper Demo Team and 2023 with the F-22 Raptor Demo Team. With the F-35 Demo Team already in town for the Great Tennessee Air Show, it was the perfect opportunity to share that experience with CMA Fest fans again.
Air Show Network, the producer of the Great Tennessee Air Show, acted as the liaison between CMA and the F-35 Demo Team, helping bring everything together. From early planning to event day, ASN worked closely with everyone involved to make sure timing, routing, and safety all lined up.
Even though the flyover lasted only a few seconds, it took months of planning and teamwork behind the scenes. Nashville’s busy airspace meant extra care and practice runs, but that preparation paid off.
When the moment arrived, the jets hit their mark right on time during the National Anthem. Heads turned, the crowd looked up, and social media lit up with photos and videos.
It was another great example of what happens when strong partnerships and good communication come together. As the producer of the Great Tennessee Air Show, Air Show Network is proud to create moments like this, connecting amazing aviation to make Middle Tennessee.
