Big crowds, No Traffic

Overcoming obstacles from air shows past.

Air Show returned in 2021 for the first time since 2002. The previous show created a monumental traffic jam that shut down the interstate for a period of time and upon entry,
guests found that there were not enough parking spots for the tickets that had been sold. To put it simply, the traffic from the previous event was an epic, legendary disaster. Nearly 20 years later, it was still being talked about by civic leaders. The outcome was so terrible that the city was adamant on never having an air show ever again.

Yikes.

Air Show Network took over management of the event and created a comprehensive solution to ensure enough parking spots for guests and to reduce the flow of cars entering the event, to mitigate the congestion of the past.

Our team spent $100,000 on a parking plan (traffic and parking experts, signage and message boards) - the most we have ever spent for traffic management

In addition to the parking preparations we worked with the media, social media and messaging directly to ticket holders to effectively relay the importance of arriving early.

By start time, 11am, majority of guests had arrived and there was zero traffic build up at event gates.
